Subject: Synthetic Grass
Content: I was just reading an article on the 19th Hole that spoke of water issues in the Palm Springs area, and how it may impact golf courses in the area. We have the same issues here in Vegas. A lot of courses are using reclaimed, or gray water to help with their watering schedules. I wonder. How long do you suppose that we will be playing on golf courses with synthetic grasses for the fairways, and the greens? No water, no water lines, no water pumps, no fertilizer, no reseeding, no lawn mowers. Just a few big vacuum cleaners, and a couple of carpet repairmen. Talk about a distance increase. Probably would need some serious padding under it.   I know there is synthetic grasses available that will with stand full iron, and wood shots. I have some that has lasted well over a year that I use on a weekly basis in my back yard. UV damage is non existent so far. Maybe 2010? FHs
