For those of you interested in eating healthier and getting rid of some of the aches and soreness that come with golf, I recommend that you look into a nutritional drink called MonaVie.  My sister convinced my wife and me to start taking it a couple of months ago.  We did a little research on the product and found that it’s a blend of 19 fruits including the Acai berry that some experts have ranked as the number one super food and only 2 oz. a day gives you the nutrient value of three or four servings of fruit.   We were skeptical about the claims of feeling better and having more energy and, personally, I’m not really sure what antioxidants do for me.  However since our diet wasn’t the best, this was an easy way to get more nutrition and I had read that as we get older glucosamine is good for the joints (one version of MonaVie contains glucosamine and celadrin, which is some substance that’s also supposed to lubricate your joints).  So we figured taking this couldn’t hurt. Plus taking a shot of something that comes out of what looks like a wine bottle first thing in the morning can’t be all bad!  After about 3 or 4 weeks my wife noticed she was sleeping better at night (she has always had bouts of insomnia) and while it might be the power of suggestion we both agreed that we seemed to feel better.  I wasn’t snacking as much and some aches and pains that I had didn’t seem to bother me as much.  Also, I’ve recently noticed that when I play golf (I almost always walk) I’m not nearly as tired or sore afterward.  My shoulder soreness is almost completely gone. (Now keep in mind that this has its drawbacks because after I mentioned it to my wife, she no longer buys my excuse that I’m too tired after playing golf to do yard work and spending the afternoon on the couch watching golf is no longer an option for me.)

While I don’t understand all of the science behind the product and I’m always skeptical about claims of improved health, I’ve certainly noticed a difference from taking it.  My wife got a membership with this company so that we could get the product at wholesale (we looked at it like a Costco membership).  So if you are looking for ways to improve your health I recommend that you look into MonaVie and you can get more information at her web site – www.mymonavie.com/kbandujo.  If you are interested in trying it and send her an e-mail, she’ll get you a couple of bottles to get started at her wholesale price.

If any of you have tried this, I’d be interested in hearing your opinion.
