The business impact of charitable instruction: Volunteering my time may seem like the farthest thing away from increasing my bottom line, but good things happen to good people. This is a great opportunity to influence the development and retention of new golfers to keep growing the game – and creating new students and customers at my facilities. When our club hosts a charity funraiser I usally am at the lesson tee 1 hour and 30 mins before the event charging $2.00 per min lesson and then once the players tee off (Shot gun start) I give the money I made to the charity staff. As a result, I see more people to at the lesson tee than the normal everyday students. Also, I invite the local media which is more likely to increase exposure for me and my facility. Its always great to make a personal donation to a charity when I can.
Keep it in the short grass!
