Finally got to play a round after about 6 or 7 weeks....and it was the worst round I have had in about a year! I was hoping to come back with a good report..ha! Not the case. I was happy that I putted much better than in the past. I just could not hit my irons!! hehe...only birdie I saw was the one under a tree protecting her babies and was really keeping an eye on me...matterof fact I had to move my ball!...She was making some really strange noises and had her wings ready to fly up after me! I looked down at her and she was sitting on a nest of about 4 or 5 eggs. I felt bad she thought I might be threatening her. Even after a horrible round, I am looking forward to the next time I get to get out!
One of the best parts of golf is enjoying nature. You have met this "head on". We, as daily grinders, don't get to play often, therefore usually don't play well...according to "par" standards. I read once that the PAR established on a course pertains to those who play regularly..2-3 times a week or more. For the rest of us, we should add one or two strokes to each hole to keep the game fair. If you think about it...it comes out just about right.
Remember...if your not laughing and having fun....IT'S NOT WORTH DOING!!! We are not pro's, but like pro's, the more we play the better we do get. So play as much as you can and HAVE FUN!!!!!
Good or Bad being able to play golf is a good thing. I played in a tournament this weekend and didn't play well but I'm glad I played. I hope you introduce your kids to golf that way you can also enjoy golf together as a family. Thanks for the blog. I'm glad you love golf!
