After watching Boo Weekly win this past week at Harbour Town, we can't help but notice how important the short game really is, even at the professional level. Wind presented all players with problems hitting greens, which is why they relied on their short games to grind out their rounds. And for those of who haven't caught the highlights, Boo chipped in on 17 and 18, Monday to clinch a 1 shot victory over Ernie Els. Moral of the story: You can never work on your short game to much. From day to day you can never know how your swing is going to feel, but your short game will always be consistent, whether bad or good!
I hear you! I personally braved the elements on 17 in my company's skybox on 17. All I can say about Sunday and Monday...have you ever played golf in a hurricane? All said, who can argue about tightening up the short game? I wish more courses had practice chipping areas.
