Golf started out for me as a way to hang out with a buddy and kill an 2 hours out of my day.  Soon I found out that it means so much more.  About two years ago I got my dad into golfing and we have gone together dozens of times.  To say that we are ok golfers would be a stretch.  We spend most of the time trying to figure out ways to just find the ball.  Most of the time after a swing of the club we will just say to the other "You didn't have you eye on the ball"

Most of the time after a round of golf the only thing that I take from it isn't the one great shot but the fact that I spend a whole morning with my dad.  Since moving away we still get to golf but it is harder to get together.  These little moments make the game that much more special.  Next time your out on the links with your dad or even just a bunch of friends take in every emotion because Life is to short to worry about your score.

How true it is. I always enjoy every golfing outing with my father no matter how poorly I am playing. We are very competitive with each other which makes it even more fun. He carries a hangmans noose in his bag and waves it over the hole if I have a 10' putt to win the hole from him or he will ask me before I tee it up if I breath in or out on the backswing to mess with my mind. It is all out of good fun. We see great sites together and have a lot of cool chat too.
