Webster defines a Hole-In-One as The driving of a golf ball from the tee into the hole in a single stroke.”  Come OOONNNN!!!!!  Could it sound any more boring? (No wonder non-golfers make fun of real golfers.)

The definition just doesn’t do it justice!  I can’t think of any thing more exciting or dramatic than the all perfect golf shot --- AKA: Hole-in-one.

I don’t care how great of a player you might be, when it comes to a hole-in-one, you have to admit that the stars align perfectly just for you.  Sometimes a hole-in-one is picture perfect and sometimes it’s a bladed shots that bounces off the ball washer, hits the flag and then go in the hole.  HOWEVER, as we all know too well, it doesn’t really matter how it happens, just that it does.

I created a Group here at the 19thHole.com celebrating hole-in-one’s and those lucky enough to feel the rush of a perfect shot.

If you’ve had a hole-in-one before, I want to hear all about it.  Don’t leave anything out! Was it a tuning fork in your loins or was it a slap shot that got a good bounce?

I have a friend here at the 19thHole that has had 5…Yes! F…I…V…E….hole-in-ones.  (Girlfriend should have bought a lotto ticket a long time ago).  Have you had more than 5?

Let’s see who here at the 19thHole holds the record for most, the luckiest, the unluckiest (like me and had my only hole-in-one when I hit a mulligan……YIKES!) and even those that have come just centimeters from golf’s greatest shot.

Yes stars are aligned. I have had 4 aces and all were straight at it(the PIN). But I have seen a man shank 1 right atop a mountain side which was O.B. Then the ball kicked off rolled down the mountain, hit a rock, bounce up to the cart path, hop high off the path over a bunker onto the puting surface and roll into the cup. honest to God truth and he should have played the Lotto at that minute due to his universe being lined up.

On a 165 yard par three I used a 24 deg trouble wood and ended up three inches short of going in. The greens keeper was cutting the green and told me that if he had cut up to the hole it would have gone in more than likely.
