Has anyone tried any of the golf groups on MeetUp.com?How was it? Are you still a member? Have you ever Met Up??

What other ways have you found to meet local golfers in the past?

I met two friends on www.mygolfbuddy.com

theyintroduced me to www.ewga.comand I now have 120+ local players!

Next up...the 19th hole!

Where else but at the 19th Hole!  I have found new playing partners on the driving range (I have to watch them for awhile to ensure that I am at their lever )or in the lounge after a round.  But the best ones are those who are about to tee off alone.  Ask her/him to join your group, what have you to lose.   I think anyone who is playing alone is either a new player or someone who thinks they are unable to play with others because they are not "good enough".  Hummm, sounds like me!
