Best clubs are the persimmon driver and fairway woods which I learned on more than 40 years ago. The disctinctive sound as it connects with the ball, the controlled fade and draw as the ball slices through the air, its consistancy- all qualities that some may argue is no longer there as metal clubs rule the game today.

FAVORITE GOLF COURSE
Grand Cypress,Orlando, Florida, tops all courses I've played. I admit to being a bit partial because I worked as a greenskeaper and have spent many hours manicuring the greens, approaches and many sand traps. My "GolfSculpyures" are often times designed around actual golf holes on the North/South course. A must play course.
FAVORITE GOLF BOOK
"Golf Courses of the PGA TOUR" by George Peper is a comprehensive "tour of the tour" in words and pictures. I also recomend "Swing like a Pro" by Dr. Ralph Mann and Fred Griffin. I purchased my edition from the Golf Acadamy at Grand Cypress where Fred is the teaching pro.
MUSIC
I appreciate all types of music. My preferences are classics and jazz. Miles Davis, Mulligan, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Carman McCrae are a few of my favorites.
Wood Carving, Sculpture, golf sculptures. My signature golf sculpture is a persimmon head driver with a golf hole carved in it. The hole is surrounded by water, rough or sand. It makes for a interesting conversation piece and also serves as a incense burner and flower holder. Great gift.
