What is it you would like to see here? What would keep you coming
back? What would make you drop everything you're doing and go invite
everyone you know to come join 19thHole.com?
It's up to you.
The team here at 19thHole.com wants to hear your suggestions. And we will consider each and every one very seriously.
Post your suggestions here for everyone to see and discuss.
19thHole.com, in it's current form, launched on April 1st, 2007. So, yes, we are new but I invite anyone to get the ball rolling in the forums. If anyone would like a new forum created, please let me know and we will get it set up.
Each of the groups has its own forum also. There are many, many opportunities to find a conversation about this crazy game here.
I have tried out the chat part here also, but no one seems to be around....I know this is still relatively new, but I think its a great part of the site.....this way you can talk right up front, and it can be alot of fun.....as time progresses and more people stumble on this site like I did, I think the chat will be a big part of your website....I hope this site develops and you can continue with it. As far as any other suggestions at this time, I think its a great start.....I can't think of anything else to maybe add at this time, but if I do, I will certainly let you know.
First day here too... seems like we're in the formative stages... Well suggestion for topics that might be discussed. Equipement reviews. There used to be 2 guys that called themselves 'ham and egg' that had great reviews on the whole spectrum of golf and golf related equipement gadgets etc. They seem to have gone onto other pursuits... The 19th hole could be a place where people could express that.
The first time I was on this site, there was a way to locate another golfer in my area, it didn't work, and now I can't find out how to do it again. Is there a way to find other golfers near me or not? If so, can you make it simple to find out how to do it?
You can find 19thHole.com members in your area by clicking on BROWSE and searching by State or Zip Code. Just choose a state in the dropdown list or type in a zip code. Then click Search.
You know, Texas is a big state...so or most states for
that matter...and then a zip code is a pretty specific location.
Are there plans in the works
to be able to search for golfers by City...I am going to be traveling the
country soon and thought I might see if there are members here who might want
to play golf with Mr Business Golf while he is in their area.

Biz,
From the Browse page, you can set the "
Keyword search for:" to City and type the city name into the adjoing text box. Then click Search. Viola.
OK...there isn't a lot of activity...not really a compelling reason to come back a lot. Part of it might be that the most used places aren't in a logical spot. For example...the bar of items starting with HOME then TOP USERS...it relegates them all the same status. I would use about 3 of those (HOME, BLOGS, FORUMS)..and if you added Chat....4. :) So...then there's the other bar that appears...I guess when I'm in my own account or something ...it's confusing...which allows me to look at my own messages and activity. If that were readily available that would be good.
I guess another way to look at it is...the places where we can interact and provide information should be together. Stuff like top users rate polls classifieds etc...should go somewhere else.
Organized chats with specific times and days with volunteer hosts might also be good.
Keep the forums up-to-date and interesting. People will respond but don't always start things.
Stephanie

Work gets in the way of golf...
I've visited several times and see very little going on. It appears the purpose of the site is to provide a social experience. There are "events", profiles , pictures however there is little or no opportunity to discuss the game of golf.
This could be what some are seeking, however, at least for the time it doesn't have what I want.
