Welcome! Sounds like you are a pretty good golfer. I haven't been to Vegas in a while. Now that I've discovered golf, I'm playing whenever I can. How often do you get to play?

Thank you for the "welcome". Living in Vegas (desert southwest) allows me golf year around. I play around 40-50 rounds a year, with most of those rounds in the spring summer, and fall months. This past summer has been a little different. I don't mind playing in triple digit heat, but high humidity conditions are tough, and my desire to play took a back seat to other hobbies. We have had a very humid summer so far. When I was playing consistantly well, I was probably playing close to 150+ rounds a year.
As for being a good golfer, I get out of golf what I put into it. Almost all my lower scoring rounds have been on my home course, which I am very familiar with. My game right now is such that I can play very well about 70% of the time, with the remaining 30% being some where between poor, or just so, so. I am self taught, and believe that to play well a golfer needs to understand the various causes of both their good, and poor golf shots. If you know the "why" part, then you know where to look for the "cause", and can "cure" your own swing issues. I am not an instructor, but I do understand my own swing
