I shot a 76, 1 under on the front 34, and a 5 over 42 on the back. I was even par until # 15 a par 5 it was then that I started to think about shooting under par for the round. I let my mental gamethoughts start to creep in and then went bogie, par, bogie, double bogie to finish. I started thinking too much and I know better. On the positive side it was a great round and the first time I have broken par on the front nine

102...6 penalty strokes! 30 mph winds though....and cold! chipped in for par, that was fun....2 up and downs out of sand...very fun...and a fair number of accurate approach shots. Now if I could just find the fairway off the tee!

Today was a day that could have been a very low number day. I shot 73. 3 over on front and 2 under on back. I made a mental error on 1 hole with my math. I added yards instead of subtracting. Sent 1 right over the green in trouble for a double. It was straight at the flag, but a little long lol.Hit 2 other putts through the break or just over read it. I over read quite a few putts yesterday. Over all extremely happy with the game for not playing in 3 weeks.

This past weekend was tale of two  (weathered) rounds. Saturday i golfed in a rain storm. Even with covers, and umbrellas, everything eventually got wet. Plus as the fairways became soaked, and if you hit the shot just a little bit on the fat side, the poor impact was amplified. To counter this we had to be sure to hit everything that was not tee'd up a little thin. Wet bunker sand was not a very nice place to play from either. Wet greens were another problem as far as distance control was concerned. Only bright spots were some casual water lies. Shot an 89

On Sunday it was a 40+mph winds that created havoc on us. A course with water, and houses bordering on most of the fairways/holes made aiming some what of a chore. Hitting drives over water, and/or houses while hoping the wind will bring the ball back into the fairway is not good for the golfing nerves.  Figuring out distances, and knock down shots were what was needed. Putts getting blown off line was a bit frusterating to say the least. Shot an 84.

Today with good weather (although some what chilly) was much better. Shot a 78 for my troubles. FHs

Well it was a 78 at Ken McDonald http://oddblast.com/blog/?p=86

2 OB's and a Water Hazard.  The short game 50 yards in was hurting to say the least.
