I carry a 60* wedge. In the beginning I had nightmares with it. This thing was a swinging door when it came to staying in my bag. Some days it was in, and most days it was not. Why I never severed it from the shaft, and made into a paper weight, I'll never know.
One day a guy I was golfing with told me I was too tentative when swinging it. He said to not be afraid to "swing for the fence" on full shots, and hit the ball more off center towards the toe on chip shots. ( I chip the same way I putt) Another item I found out (atleast with my swing) is that this 60* critter has it's own ball position in my stance, which is one ball back of center. Of course this goes against popular teaching on ball position for this club, but it works for me. Lot's of practice to gain confidence with it is what you need. This being said I sometimes go entire rounds without ever using it, while relying on my 56*. But when I do need it, it is a stroke saver. FHs
