First of I don't mind telling on myself. It was a dumb move on my part, and I was just not paying attention, or thinking straight. Please have a good laugh at my expense.

I got up this morning, loaded up my clubs and headed for the golf course for a 10am tee time. Weather was just perfect, and I envisioned a fine day on the links. On the way to the course, I saw a sign that said $4 car wash, and knowing my old dodge truck could use a good bath, I pulled in, and paid my money. This is a ride through wash. At the start of the wash cycle I am sure you are all familiar with the car wash guys who take their brushes and clean the wheels, windows, and other dirty areas of the vehicle before sending you off into the tunnel of water, soap, and the strips of scubbing material. After a few minutes you are at the other end where the high speed fans blow dry your vehicle off.

Now I have to let you in on a little secret. I have two dodge trucks that I drive. One is four door, and one is two door. I was in the two door this morning. Just about the time I am leaving the car wash, it dawns on me that my golf bag, clubs, and trolley are in the bed of my truck. Let be the first to tell you this is not the way to wash your golf clubs, maybe your trolley, but definately not your golf clubs.  Why the guy who took my money, or the guy(s) who pre-cleaned the truck did not say anything, I will never know. They probably did not speak english, and I know very little spanish.

When I get to the course, i empty my bag, drain the water out of it, and wipe down my clubs. And yea the rest of our forsome is there, not doing a very good job of keeping their faces straight. I think the doctor in our group  dianosed me with  "old timers dieseas". Old "HC" (see gallery) was spick-n-span, and looked like he had just recieved a bad "perm" job. Surprisingly most of my gear in the zippered pockets stayed pretty dry.

Of course I had to answer the question "what happened to you bag" several times during the round. I couldn't lie because there were no rain clouds with in 200 miles of Vegas. Even my wife noticed something different about my golf bag when i walked in the house.

Oh Yeah, I shot a 79 which I attribute to clean grips........FHs

Next time your wife complains about how much money you spend on golf, you use this story to talk about your clean living. Keeping your tools, grips and attitude fresh saves wasting money on stuff like Viagra, too.

Great story.......I mean in a good way. Not that your bag and clubs had to go through that terror but funny now.

I watched a man about 10-11 years ago who was so upset after playing a round of golf in Van Nuys Ca. He tied his bag with clubs to the rear bumper of his car and dragged them around the parking lot and down a residential street to teach them a lesson. I could not stop laughing for an hour. People forget it is the Indian and not the Arrow 90% of the time.

Funny one Ron. I used to have a putter I was really fond of. But every once in a while it would give me fits. To teach it a lesson, when I got home I would take it out of my bag, and place it in a dark corner of my garage all by it's lonsome self. Might leave it there for 2 or 3 days waiting for my next round. It always seems to work for the better. I am well aware of the "indian, and the arrow" scenario, but for the price one pays for clubs they are easy to blame for my swing deficiencies....lol

I heard about a guy throwing his set of clubs in a dumpster after a poor round.

10th, I asked the doc if viagra would help my golf game. He said no, but it might cause me to get later tee times for our foursome. FHs
