This past weekend was tale of two (weathered) rounds. Saturday i golfed in a rain storm. Even with covers, and umbrellas, everything eventually got wet. Plus as the fairways became soaked, and if you hit the shot just a little bit on the fat side, the poor impact was amplified. To counter this we had to be sure to hit everything that was not tee'd up a little thin. Wet bunker sand was not a very nice place to play from either. Wet greens were another problem as far as distance control was concerned. Only bright spots were some casual water lies. Shot an 89
On Sunday it was a 40+mph winds that created havoc on us. A course with water, and houses bordering on most of the fairways/holes made aiming some what of a chore. Hitting drives over water, and/or houses while hoping the wind will bring the ball back into the fairway is not good for the golfing nerves. Figuring out distances, and knock down shots were what was needed. Putts getting blown off line was a bit frusterating to say the least. Shot an 84.
Today with good weather (although some what chilly) was much better. Shot a 78 for my troubles. FHs
