Pre-Season Conditioning
With the season right around the corner, it's time to awaken your body! Do not expect to pick up a club, hit the course and play great golf. Do some easy stretches and exercises to "prepare your body to perform". Isolate your golf muscles like the lower back, abdominals and even the shoulders for more freedom in your golf swing.

Pre-Season Conditioning
Confession: I am able to play golf year round, so my pre-season is a 365 day prioriity. What is the best workout to include in my daily routein? I bike and swim as much as much as my hectic work schedule permits. I also use free weighs. Toss in a once-a-week run and I think I'm good. What am I missing?

That sounds like a full plate to me. Do some exercises for your core. Grab a single dumbbell and do some rotations similar to your golf swing. Other than that, your commitment looks good! Keep it up!

Conditioning
I have recently joined a gym to work on my flexability. Do you have any exercise suggestions for increased flexability.

Seasons...
I play golf all year too...right now, in Florida, it's our "off" season. Really too hot to play in the middle of the day. Early AM or Later PM is doable. We'll really get cooking at the end of October. When rates go up!

Anyone who just picks up a club, especially after a lay off from a cold season, and expects to hit the ball great is getting lucky and definently putting themselves in risk of getting hurt. When you are finished with your round and have that achy feeling in the back and asking your spouse for a rub, well that is from not stretching and I am sure it took you a few holes to really find a groove... or as we call it " warmed up".
