ClubCount: Never loose another club

08/11/2008 23:13:50 / like playing 36 holes

I begin this review with a tale of love and loss that perhaps you too can relate to.  When I was 16 I fell head over heels in love. She was sleek, bronze and as loyal as a boy could hope for. No, she wasn’t my high school sweetheart but my Cleveland lob wedge I affectionately named Lassie. It didn’t matter that I missed fairways and couldn’t hit a green to save my life, I knew that even in the worst of lies and in the trashiest locations, I could score my beloved Lassie. One day about 10 years ago, I was playing in a scramble and lost my girl forever. I did everything I could to find her. I practically interrogated every player in the tournament thinking them guilty of stealing her away before considering their innocence, all to no avail. I left the course that day with my bag one club lighter and a heart heavy with disappointment. I soon took a trip to the local golf shop and found another. Sure it looked the same but the feel was all wrong. I later changed all my wedges and to this day I can’t get into a sand trap or in any greenside garbage without a twinge of guilt and missing her just a little. Though I swore I would never loose a club again, over the past 10 years I have managed to loose an 8 iron on the driving range, a sand wedge by the greenside and a 5 iron in a lake (don’t ask).

That’s why when I learned of the Club Count golf bag, I became so excited. I had found the solution that I have so desperately and obviously needed. With this ingenious bag, never again will I feel the pain and foolishness of loosing a club again.

How it works:

“Built-in electronic sensors always know haw many clubs are in your bag. The bag determines your desired club count at the start of every round, and never loses track. The Club Count bag does all of the work. Add nothing to your equipment (no stickers, metal sensors, etc.). All clubs are counted, whether graphite, steel or a mixed set.”

Not only does this bag look sharp with it’s black, white and grey design. Not only does it have just the right amount of pockets for storage but most importantly it will help ensure that I never loose a club again. However, I doubt it can help with a long iron that goes violently, whirling into a lake.

Do you have a tale of love and loss? Feel free to blog about it and share your sorrows with understanding golfers!
