Off the couch and out the door with a club in my hand!

Well, it's been about 7 weeks since they replaced the titanium joint in my right foot with a silicone joint. What a difference it has made!!! The swelling has mostly gone down and this week I was able to slowely start hitting balls again. Monday and Tuesday I took it real easy and worked with just my wedges doing some chipping and pitching. My driving range is 200 yds long and about 70 feet wide; a cleared area in the middle of sage brush and cedar trees. Walking out to pick up the balls in between hitting sessions really does my foot good. Today, after my traction therapy, I think I'll break out the short irons and do a little "light" swinging. The traction therapy is a special boot I have that has a spring loaded bar across the front with a paddle that rests under the big toe. When activated it provides spring tension, pushing the toe up, thus keeping flexability in the scar tissue and stretching the tendons, which havn't moved this far in many years!
I think I need a trip to Mac in the Sands vacation spot!
