The fall and winter months in Texas have been mild.  I play a round every weekend unless it raining.  When it's cold I just bundle up and play.  I have heard that they close most golf courses in the winter up north.  Must be tough when you get the urge to  play.  TheInternational Players Tour [ipgtour.com] is having a charity pro-am event in the Chicago area in September.  You may want to take a look at palying in the event.  By the you would have had time to tune up your game.
